SportsOffice Privacy Policy

SportsOffice is a service used by children's sports organizations to run programs. As such, we seek to provide a highly useful and safe service. We shall not rent or sell any user's individual personal information to any third party. We shall strive to safeguard the online privacy of our users, especially children's privacy.

SportsOffice may modify its privacy policy in order to do a better job and may make other additions or changes that it determines to be appropriate. This policy applies only to companies and persons that SportsOffice can reasonably control as to privacy policy.

What information is collected?

Through SportsOffice, organizations will not collect personal information about you unless you provide it voluntarily and knowingly, and you are provided an opportunity to later "opt out". If you "opt-out", you may not be able to partake in the services organizations offer through SportsOffice. If you do not want your personal information collected, please DO NOT submit it.

The extent of information collected depends on the extent to which an organization uses our services. "JV" service is free to organizations and does not require ANY personal information from you, unless you are an Administrator; in this case, just your name and email address are necessary. If an organization pays us for "Varsity" services, including online registration and sophisticated communication tools, the organization will require you to "Create a New Account" and submit extensive personal information, necessary to perform our services.

How do we use it?

Your organization uses SportsOffice to collect personal information from you in order to enhance your online experience and deliver certain services. You can personalize certain pages and be granted access to certain pages based on the information you provide to SportsOffice and your login credentials.

Moreover, they are contractually bound to keep all such information confidential;
  • We are required to by law.
We never sell or rent your individual personal information to third parties. If you or your child have submitted personal information to us and would like to change it or remove it from our records, go to the My Account section. If you use any chat room or bulletin board features on the site, bear in mind that information you post will be available to certain other SportsOffice registered users.

If an organization uses "Varsity" services, their users may only access certain areas of the site or use certain features if they have established an account and obtained a user name and password. When you set up your account, you will be required to submit your first and last name, and a good deal of personal information in order for our services to operate correctly. SportsOffice uses the information submitted to personalize your experience and ensure proper access.

If you are authorized to use the broadcasting features on this site, you and many others will have provided us with personal information before using the feature. Cookies are pieces of information that a web site transfers to an individual's hard drive for record-keeping purposes. Cookies make Internet surfing easier for you by saving your passwords and preferences while you're at a site. The use of cookies is an industry standard and you'll find them at most major web sites. By showing how and when visitors use the site, cookies help web site developers see which areas are popular and which are not. Many improvements and updates to the site are based on such data as total number of visitors and pages viewed.

Our servers do log some information when you access SportsOffice, but that information doesn't lead us, or anyone else, back to you. It is information about your browser (like Netscape or Explorer), your operating system (like Mac or PC), and your Internet provider's name (like AOL). Our servers log how many people visited the site each day, and which pages on the site were visited. We use this information to hopefully improve our content and service to you.
